Four years into their relationship and two kids later, Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson are FINALLY tying the knot! Although Jess and Eric have been engaged way back in 2010 (seems like a super long time ago, right?!) their wedding has been put on hold because life has gotten in the way! So, finally after little Maxwell and baby Ace entered their lives, the loving parents decided to wait just one more year until getting married! Now the day is finally here and the two are even more in love than they were when they first started dating! Srsly, these two couldn't be more perfect for each other! More than 16 years after we saw Side Show on Broadway - twice! - we got to see a brand new and reimagined production at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. The show, by Henry Krieger and Bill Russell, has one of the best scores of all time! And it truly is one of our favorite musicals! Not only are the songs stunning but the story speaks to our soul! It's a tale of outsiders and love! Based on the life of the original Hilton sisters, long before there was a Paris and Nicky, Daisy and Violet were conjoined twins who lived a difficult life - unwanted, unloved, "freaks" in the side show. Eventually they found fame in vaudeville and the movies before dying poor and barely remembered. This new production, directed by Bill Condon, is VERY different from the original production. And it still has a little work to be done before being Broadway-ready. And this MUST play a triumphant return on Broadway! The new Side Show is darker and more lifelike. They've basically done to it what Christopher Nolan did to Batman, which was AWESOME! Much of that credit goes to the direction and the visionary and brilliant new costumes from Paul Tazewell and the special makeup and effects design of Dave Elsey and Lou Elsey. Inspired!! There are a few new songs, and thankfully none of the iconic original ones are gone. There are a few more characters. Some, like the introduction of Houdini, are unnecessary. However, learning more about Daisy and Violet's backstory and their wicked caretakers is quite illuminating. Act 1 felt a bit bloated and could use from some slight trimming, as well as a bit more razzle dazzle and bang for Broadway. Bigger sets! Moving pieces. Etc. But, overall, this new production is dazzling! And there are some thrilling performances! Emily Padgett's voice is UNREAL and she gets to show that off so beautifully as Daisy! And playing the sister with a bit more heart, Erin Davie brings so much emotion and superb acting to the show, as well as a great voice of her own. Alice Ripley and Emily Skinner, who first played Daisy and Violet, would be proud! And the breakout star of the show is David St. Louis as Jake, Daisy's jilted wannabe lover, in a role originated by the phenomenal Norm Lewis! Tony Award-worthy!!! Big kudos to everyone involved! Can't wait to see it on Broadway and the final tweaks and improvements they make!!! |

It's been over 7 months since Paul Walker died, but he has not been forgotten. Those closest to him and those who worked with him, like Jessica Alba, remember him as a down-to-earth gentle soul. In the latest issue of Marie Claire, his former Into The Blue co-star recalled:

And from the sound of this new report, the 300 star has moved on to TV producer, Carmella Casinelli! A working lady, eh Gerard? Nice! According to Life & Style, the two recently hit up Disneyland for some fun times! A witness revealed the two went on some majorly popular rides! They said:
Some classic favs! What better way to win over a woman (aside from his charmingly good looks) than to take her on all the best rides at Disneyland?! The observer revealed that that wasn't all Gerard and Carmella did! They apparently ended the day with a hotel stay close to the park! They said:

Cheryl Cole, British beauty and one of the X Factor UK judges has opened up about when she was fired by Simon! But, she's one of the judges now?! How could she be fired?!? Well, Cheryl was one of the X Factor USA judges, but Simon ended up firing the Crazy Stupid Love singer and replacing her with Nicole Scherzinger! Yikes! So, Cheryl was OBVIOUSLY pissed when it happened and she's just revealed the f-bomb riddled text message she sent him and it's not nice. At all. We're surprised he decided to hire her again, actually, after receiving this! It said:
Talk about an f-bomb EXPLOSION! We're glad that Simon was able to get past her tantrum and hire her again! 'Cause we LOVE us some Cheryl! |
| Fallen Vampire Diaries Crew Member Vindicated! Midnight Rider Filmmakers Charged For Her Death! Posted: 03 Jul 2014 04:44 PM PDT She is sorely missed, especially by those who loved her most and the family she left behind while working on Vampire Diaries. We reported earlier how tragedy struck the set of Midnight Rider when 27-year-old camera assistant Sarah Elizabeth Jones was killed on a train trestle during filming after being struck by a freight train. Just so sad! Now, the filmmakers of this Greg Allman biopic, Randall Miller, Jody Savin, and Jay Sedrish, have been charged with involuntary manslaughter and criminal trespass. If convicted they could face a sentence of 10 years in prison for manslaughter, and a year in prison potentially for criminal trespassing! Randall was the director on the project, Jody, his wife, produced it, and Jay was an executive producer. We'll see how this case develops after this recent indictment! P.S. If this news wasn't enough to ruin the concept of friendship for you forever, this story gets even worse. Not only is Demi disconnected from Selena's tweets forevermore, apparently she sent a tweet out herself (that has since been deleted) that may have been directed at Selena, and it is not nice:

The film that had originally been pushed back to April 10th following the tragic death ofSt Paul Walker, but now Universal just announced that the flick will be released on April 3rd! We've heard of people their race times by a minute, but one whole week?! Incredible! We're excited for the movie, although it is rather tough for us to remember that we won't have Paul there with us to watch it. Still so unbelievably sad. |
